What this calculator does

Enter the dry-bulb temperature and one more property: relative humidity, wet-bulb or dew-point temperature. It gives all the moist-air properties: humidity ratio, enthalpy, dew point, wet bulb, RH, specific volume and density. You can add several points and see them on the chart.

How it is calculated

Saturation pressure Hyland–Wexler equations (ASHRAE Fundamentals) Humidity ratio W = 0.621945 × pw ÷ (p − pw) Enthalpy h = 1.006 t + W (2501 + 1.86 t) kJ/kg Pressure from altitude by the standard atmosphere

Questions

Why does altitude matter?

Lower air pressure at altitude changes the humidity ratio and enthalpy for the same dry and wet bulb. At sea level you can leave the altitude at 0.
