Engineering disclaimer

Results are for preliminary design, checking and learning. They are not a substitute for the judgement of a qualified engineer.

Every calculator uses simplified methods and stated assumptions. The method and references are shown under each calculator. Read them before you use a result.
Always verify final designs and selections against the project specifications, the codes and authority requirements that apply to your project, and the manufacturer's data.
Where a calculator refers to a standard or code (for example ASHRAE, IEC, BS or a local code), it uses that method as a basis only. J1 Pro is not approved, certified or endorsed by any standards body or authority, and does not claim that a result complies with any code.
You are responsible for checking the inputs you enter and for how you use the results.

No warranty

The website and tools are provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". We work to keep them accurate, but we do not guarantee that they are complete, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, J1 Pro is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, the website, its calculations, reports, guides or PDF tools.

PDF Tools

The PDF tools run in your browser and your files are not uploaded to us. Only use files that you have the right to edit. Keep a copy of your original files.

The text, design and software of this website belong to J1 Pro. You may print or save calculation reports for your own projects. Names of standards and codes belong to their publishers and are mentioned for reference only.
